Every time I come across a Native American themed sim in Second Life, my antennas go up because of past experiences in finding places that are filled with negative stereotypical images of Indigenous North Americans that just make me feel….yuck.
I don’t believe in coincidences. I believe in serendipity and synchronicities that lead me along my path in life. Some might call it Divine Order. I say that there are some things that were just meant to be and just waiting to happen.
I met Aubree on her second day in SL, when I was just a few months old myself. We’ve been like two peas in a pod ever since. It’s just one of those things that was meant to be.
She’s my friend, my confidante, and I can always count on her to tell me the truth.
She also happens to know all the cool and funky clothing stores in SL when I need a shopping fix :))
I don’t attend nearly as much live music performances in SL as I used to. I intend to change that and start getting back into the music scene to experience the music of the many amazing SL musicians performing inworld.
I haven’t been to an Edward Kyomoon in ages, so it was a welcome change of pace to rock out at Key West last night to Edward’s original tunes, and some popular covers. Yes, the lag was kind of crazy, but it’s worth the fight to enjoy the music.
I was delighted to find Edward’s popular song “Dreaming of You” available on iTunes. I’ve added this one to my playlist of daily tunes.
You can find out more about Edward Kyomoon’s music and a schedule of his performances in Second Life at his website here.
It’s a four day weekend up here in Canada. I’m with my family visiting my parents for Easter weekend.
Every time I come up here to visit, I bring my laptop intending to get some time in SL and keep up with my 365, but it just doesn’t happen. I have too much visiting to do.
So this is just a quick note to let you know that I will be missing in action for a couple of days, but I will be back….when the turkey is all gone, the pie pans are empty and we pack up our car for the long drive back to the big noisy city.
I have a confession to make: I’ve been slacking off with my 365 photos. I don’t know why, it’s just one of those weeks. Inspiration will come again, I’m sure. I’m slacking off in other areas of my life too, like dishes and laundry. I’m just tired.
I went dancing at a club tonight for the first time in what seems like ages, and I actually had fun. I have no idea whose birthday it was, but it was a fun party. I’m such a party animal…not.
